Animated Christmas GIFs & Videos
We have a group of young animators who created a bunch of animated Christmas GIFs & videos, as our Christmas gift to the public. It was much appreciated and was widely shared in social media.
Calendar 2021
This year also, we published a table top calendar with paintings and poems by our children. We selected a theme of the important day of each month and our children did amazing paintings and wrote quotes, poems which caught the attention of all. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, bulk orders were less, but we have covered more than 750 orders from even outside India. All are giving very positive feedback on this.
As cooking is a common interest among children having autism, we started a cake baking workshop for the Christmas. Detailed videos were shared. Discussions and support was given, This was conducted by Ms.Anita Pradeep.
Video editing has become the need of this digital era and our children showed a special passion to this.
During Onam, we published two song videos of our children. Animations done by our children were also added in the songs.

Autism Club, Ernakulam, conducted a short online course on digital painting & animations.
Our children found it very interesting and later created a bunch of animated GIFs and videos for the state festival - Onam! It was widely accepted by public.
Autism Club conducts parent empowering webinars where motivational speakers like Dr C P Aboobacker, Sri Madhu Baskaran etc boost the energy of the parents who were struggling with the huge change that had happened in their lives during this lock down.
This is a simple game with the intention of declaring that we are all together in heart, like the triangles to fight against corona. Each participant will add his set of colorful triangles and thus expanding the picture.
As the corona pandemic spread, our children were forced to be inside their house full time, which created distress and anxiety which resulted in many behavioral issues in most of them. We started giving them regular activities in a structured way to help the children remain engaged and motivated. The 4 Cs activities refer to Craft, Computers, Communication and Cooking. All the activities are chosen and guided by qualified parents. Keeping children engaged in their favorite and new activities calmed them and reduced their behavior issues to some extent.
We found that coffee painting has a therapeutic effect on children with autism. We started a coffee art sessions "Brewing Art" under the guidance of Ms.Deepthi Mathews. Every Monday, a detailed video was posted in the group. Every small details such as the materials that had to be used, mixing the coffee, creating of tone and much more was discussed in the videos. Deepthi also shared unique tricks and tips of coffee painting.
Considering the need of both physical and mental exercises for our children, we conduct webinars on body and mind workouts every second and fourth Sundays under the guidance of yoga teacher, Smt Saraswathi Padmanabhan
Autism Club had a stall at the Krithi International Book fair, a 10 days long exhibition from February 6 to- February16, 2020. We showcased and sold books authored by our children and a few autism related books at the fair. Cloth bag and paper pen created by our children were also exhibited and sold. Musical performances by talented kids attracted large audience during the book fair.
