Outsider Art
In Outsider Art, an outreach program by Kochi Muzhiris Biennale 2018, thirty artists from various parts of the country participated. From the 62 paintings displayed, 30 paintings were sold. Basil Joseph Varghese, Brian Varghese Pradeep and Siddharth Muraly Nair were the few artists from Kerala who showcased their works at the Biennale.
Class on Legal Guardianship
“Legal guardianship “ is a topic which every parent should know in detail. Considering this need, a session on legal guardianship was conducted by the club at KMM College in October 2018. The key note speaker was Mr P R Mahadevan.
Music Therapy
Autism club along with "Secret of Music" conducted music therapy session every third saturday of the month. It was lead by famous music director Sri Alex Paul and children were finding it very calming.
Autism Pride Day Celebration
Autism Pride Day was celebrated at KMM Engineering college Auditorium, Unichira. There was music therapy session by Music Director Sri Alex Paul in the morning . The gathering was addressed by Dr Rajeev Santharam, phycatrist and motivational speaker, in the afternoon followed by artistic performances by our kids.
Autism Awareness Day Celebration
Ernakulam chapter of Autism Club celebrated autism awareness day at Lulu Mall, Edappaly. Famous music director, Mr Alex Paul inaugurated the function.The Autism Phoenix award of the year was given to Mr Arun Prasad. A cartoon session by Mr Ibrahim Badhusha, the vice-chairman of Cartoon Academy added more colors to the function.There were several programs by our talented kids.
KRITHI International Book Fair
Autism Club had a stall on the 10 days(March 1- March 10, 2018) Krithi International Book fair, where the books of our children and autism related books were exhibited. "Moonlight" - the book by Sherin Mary Zacharia was launched by famous poet Sri. S Sachidanandan. Musical performances by talented kids attracted large audience during the book fair.
KRITHI Literature Festival
Autism Club got a golden opportunity to present a session on Autistic Writers on March 10th at Bolgatty Palace in association with Krithi Literature Festival.Dr Mohammed Asheel, director of social justice department, Dr C P Aboobacker, young writers like Sherin Mary Zacharia, Neerada Sasheendran, Jithin Jayakumar, Nayan S, Aadinarayanan attended the session.
Class on Relationship Development Intervention
Autism Club conducted 1 day workshop on Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) by Mrs Kamini Lakhani, director of Sai Connections, Mumbai.
